This Privacy Policy explains how Loci ("Loci", "we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use the Loci app for iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

What Loci Stores on Your Device

Loci may store the following information locally on your device so the app can work:

• Conversation history, prompts, replies, titles, and settings.
• Files and images you choose to attach to a conversation.
• Model preferences, downloaded model status, and local runtime settings.
• Voice, notification, appearance, context window, and diagnostics preferences.

This local data stays on your device unless you choose to export it, share it, back it up through your operating system, or configure a feature that explicitly uses another service.

AI Processing

Loci is built around on-device and local AI models. When you use local models, your prompts, replies, attached files, and images are processed on your device or on a local runtime you control.

If you explicitly configure an external model provider or another third-party tool in the future, information you send through that feature may be handled by that provider according to its own terms and privacy policy. Loci does not sell your content or use it for advertising.

Diagnostics

Loci may offer an optional diagnostics setting. If you turn diagnostics on, we may receive limited technical information such as app version, operating system version, device class, feature usage, crash reports, performance timing, retries, and error states.

Diagnostics are used to improve reliability and performance. Diagnostics are not intended to include your prompts, replies, files, images, audio, calendars, contacts, or other personal content.

Files, Images, Microphone, Speech, and Notifications

Loci asks for permissions only when a feature needs them:

• Files and images: Used to attach content you choose to a chat.
• Microphone and speech: Used for voice input and conversation mode. We do not use your voice for advertising.
• Notifications: Used to let you know when a reply or long-running task is ready.

Some speech, dictation, backup, crash reporting, or notification functionality may involve Apple operating system services. Those services are governed by Apple's terms and privacy policies.

Purchases

If Loci offers paid features, purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your chats, prompts, replies, files, images, or audio for advertising.
• We do not require a hosted Loci account to use local chat features.

Data Deletion

You can delete local conversations and app data from within the app or by deleting the app from your device. If you have shared diagnostics or contacted support and want associated support records deleted, contact us using the address below.

Children's Privacy

Loci is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Loci changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and publish the revised policy here.
